古代婚禮 / Wedding Day：1998 (54" x35.5") 137cmx89cm 膠彩、絹 Gouache、Silk
新郎歡天喜地迎娶新娘過門，新娘則穿著傳統禮服鳳冠霞帔含羞地嫁入夫家，隨即舉行過門「祭拜禮」及「拜見禮」，象徵新娘正式入夫家門。在「祭拜禮」中是由男方長輩帶著新人一同祭拜家中祖先，向祖先稟告子孫成家立業，祈求家族開枝散葉，也象徵新娘從今而後與夫家成為一家人。緊接著，新人向男方父母行「拜見禮」，並依輩份向長輩奉茶跪拜，用意是藉此認識夫家長輩親戚。新娘奉茶時，媒人婆在旁說上吉祥話，祝福新人，為增添婚禮的喜慶氣氛與和諧。隨後將新人送入洞房，房內預擺椅凳，椅子上放有一件新郎的黑色長褲，褲子下方放銅幣或紙幣，新郎新娘進入洞房後並肩同坐，象徵夫妻同穿一條褲，在未來生活中可以共患難，榮辱與共。媒婆或家中長輩則端著一碗豬心，讓新人各吃一口，象徵夫妻能夠同心。再端一碗紅棗、桂圓煮成的湯圓甜湯，祝福新人婚姻美滿、早生貴子。

At the ceremony, the bride and the bridegroom wearing their traditional gowns are led by an elder of the groom’s side to worship the family’s ancestors, then pay respect to the groom’s parents. And then, the bride and the bridegroom kneel down and serve tea to the groom’s parents and other elders according to the order of their age. The purpose of this is to get acquainted with the groom’s elderly relatives.
