據悉，這起事故發生在當地時間10日下午4時45分左右，該輛遊覽車行駛在瑞士東部靠近阿爾卑斯山區蘇施（Susch）與鄰近的采爾內茨村（Zernez）之間道路時，疑似先撞上護欄後失控翻覆。
綜合外媒報導，格勞賓登邦（Graubuenden）警方在X平台上發文表示，當局已派遣緊急救援隊伍前往涉及一輛遊覽車的事故現場。根據現場照片，一輛遊覽車側翻在地，周圍有多架直升機及緊急救援車輛。瑞士廣播電視台（SRF）指出，由於事發地點位於山區，當局調派了龐大的搜救隊伍與多架救援直升機投入陸空搶救。
荷蘭旅行業者總會（ANVR）發言人代表旅行社OAD表示，這輛遊覽車隸屬於荷蘭旅行社OAD，涉事OAD遊覽車發生嚴重事故，車上載有48名乘客，全部為荷蘭籍。目前還不清楚詳細死傷人數，肇事原因也有待釐清。該旅行團於7日從荷蘭出發，事發當天正從鄰國奧地利啟程，前往瑞士進行一日遊行程，不料卻在途經阿爾卑斯山區時遭遇死劫。
